What inspires your work on ending childhood sexual violence?
I am inspired to end childhood sexual violence because I have seen the lifelong scars it leaves on survivors. I believe every child deserves safety, dignity and a voice. My work is driven by the need to prevent childhood sexual violence, break the silence surrounding it, support healing, advocate for justice and empower survivors to reclaim their lives.
Share one highlight from your experience in the SPROUT fellowship
One highlight from my SPROUT Fellowship experience was the learning exchange in Namibia with my learning partner and Sprout fellow, Lloyd Bock. I had the opportunity to observe and engage with innovative approaches to ending sexual violence and survivor support, gaining feasible insights that I can apply to strengthen advocacy, mentorship and survivor-centred initiatives in Uganda.
