Head of Programmes at Hands Against Child Marriage

What inspires your work on ending childhood sexual violence?

My work is inspired by survivors’ courage and my own lived experiences within communities affected by violence. Growing up in a single-parent household shaped my commitment to justice, protection, and dignity for children. I am driven to break cycles of harm and build safe, trauma-informed communities where every child can thrive.

Share one highlight from your experience in the SPROUT Fellowship

The Sprout Fellowship strengthened my leadership and systems-thinking skills while expanding a supportive network that has made collaboration easier and more effective. And through the Sprout seed funding, I am translating learning into action by implementing survivor-centred, community initiatives that challenge harmful norms and drive meaningful, visible change in my community.
